Bad Hair Day
Wes
Murph left his high-paying corporate sales job to follow his heart and start a pet grooming business. Wes and his wife Gen took over a failing dog grooming business in Hermosa Beach California, renovating the place while Wes went to grooming school. The little salon's business exploded from one client a day to fifteen a day, and it's still growing. Wes is thrilled with his new work - but not crazy about all his canine clients. Roxy, a chow mix, absolutely hates getting her nails clipped. Scottish terrier Angus despises having his beard brushed. And Sunshine, a cocker spaniel, turns into a doggie diva when it's time for a touch up. Wes has turned some dogs away before, but he's determined not to lose clients because of his lack of knowledge. Cesar comes in to give Wes some lessons in grooming these gremlins.
Devil Dog
Shelley Gottlieb received her chihuahua Peanut as a birthday gift 10 years ago. From the beginning, Peanut did not play well with others; be they dogs or humans. Shelley tried to socialize her, but Peanut would snap at people so much that Shelley stopped taking her out. Shelley has recently moved in with her mother, sister, brother-in-law, and their two children, as well as two dogs and a cat. Sharing a home with so many family members made Peanut even more short-tempered. Peanut thoroughly despises Shelley's brother-in-law Mike, who can't walk into a room without Peanut going crazy. And once Peanut gets going, Mike's labrador Scout will start barking, creating a very chaotic environment. Shelley wants Peanut to be relaxed with other people, especially Mike, so they can have a peaceful household. Can Cesar instill some calm submission to this boisterous pack?

Not So Home Sweet Home
Brian and Patricia Carney adopted Mateo as a puppy from a Border Collie rescue group. The pup they thought would be a loving companion instead grew overly protective of Patricia and developed aggression towards other people. Mateo nipped at anyone that came near Patricia, and now every member of the Carney clan bears a bite from the corrupt collie. The Carneys know that exercise is the first step towards a balanced dog, but Mateo isn't exactly on good terms with the leash. Brian and Patricia see the potential for sweetness and balance in their highly-intelligent border collie, but they are at a loss when it comes to controlling Mateo's pungent personality. Cesar heads out to herd in this Carney collie crisis.
Police Dog
Law enforcement officer James Espinoza wanted a guard dog for his home. When James found out that his cousins in Mexico had a litter of German Shepherds that they were going to destroy, he saved two of the puppies. James gave the female puppy Nelly to his sister Claudia and kept the male puppy for himself. He named the dog Ali after famed boxer Muhammed Ali. A German Shepherd seemed to be a natural match for a police officer, but just like his namesake, Ali was always ready for a fight. Ali is both people and dog aggressive. Whenever James takes Ali out for a walk, the dog will lunge at bikes, cars, children, and other dogs. Claudia will not let her daughter or Nelly interact with Ali for fear that he will attack. James went so far as to send Ali to live with a trainer for two weeks. When the trainer returned Ali, he warned James not to trust his dog. All James wanted was a guard dog to protect his home and most importantly his family. Now Ali is the biggest threat to this peace officer's peace of mind.

Jake in Exile
Dana Huckle rescued Jake as a puppy when one of her coworkers abandoned his litter. For the first six months of his life, Jake lived with Dana's mother Janice. Soon, Jake displayed signs of food aggression, and Janice could no longer handle him. Dana and her husband Jeff decided to take Jake into their home. While Dana and Jeff vacationed, Dana's sister Christen took care of Jake. When the couple got back, Christen reported that Jake had become so aggressive that she was forced to jump on the kitchen counter and stay there for 45 minutes to escape him. Now at two years old, Jake shows extreme aggression towards all women. Even the sound of Dana's voice sends Jake into a snarling, snapping frenzy. The Huckles moved into a new home and gave Jake a space in the garage. The situation is so bad that Dana is unable to do the laundry since she has to bypass an aggressive Jake to get to the washer and dryer. The Huckles have tried everything, and two different trainers have already recommend putting Jake down. Jake has been languishing for 10 months, isolated from the rest of the house. Can Cesar remove the stains from this aggressive laundry dog?
Don't Fence Me In
Lisa Bryant always wanted a boxer for a companion. So when she and her husband Keith spotted Kona at a local pet store, it was love at first sight. But as soon as the Bryants brought Kona back to the house, they noticed a talent they had overlooked in the store: Kona was an escape artist! Kona started out by breaking through the baby gate to explore the rest of the house. This behavior escalated to an all-time high when Lisa's friend brought her dog over for a play date. Kona was so upset, she jumped right over the fence to rejoin her. By the time Kona was 10 months old, she was a pro at jumping over the backyard fence, enjoying leisurely strolls around the neighborhood on her own. Luckily, Lisa and Keith have always been able to recover Kona as soon as she escapes, but they are still worried she will break out and get into some serious trouble. Unsure what to do, they have been forced to tie Kona to their patio table whenever they leave the house. Cesar shows up to contain this boxer rebellion and keep the Bryants' fugitive out of harm's way. |
