Cesar encourages you to remember your dog when creating your New Year's Resolutions for 2008. Here are some resolutions other pack leaders have set for themselves and their canine companions!

"My New Year's Resolution for my dog and I is to establish a firmer connection and to form more boundaries and limitations for her so, while we're all going crazy with the holidays, she doesn't see it as the chance to run around as she wishes." - Sarah Bera

Eileen's Dog Casey

"Our pups are getting older now, and we are going to spend as much time as possible with them as we can, which for me is all day." - Eileen Henderson

"We actually have two resolutions. Our first New Year's Resolution is to help Athena keep her weight off by taking more walks and playing more. She has slipping knee-caps, and when she gains a little too much weight, it causes her more pain and we don't want that to happen. We have been trying very hard to keep her weight off, but hope to continue and keep her at her happiest next year! Our second one is to continue Athena's education. She is not the most people-friendly dog by far, and she is currently on her fifth class. She has gotten much better, but we hope to help her learn to deal with stressful situations. We have a lot of work to do, but we have a whole year to work on it!" - Heather Gillstrap

"To get the neighbors' dogs out on daily walks!" - Sarah Klein

Kristin Kimmel's Shih Tzu mix Josh

"We want to take more walks with our Shih Tzu mix Josh, go to the dog park more often, and be more consistent with training." - Kristin Kimmell"

My New Year's Resolution is to save enough money and make enough room to buy my first dog! I plan on becoming a calm-assertive woman walking down the street with an adorable, well-mannered Rottie. I fully plan to raise him "Cesar's way," and gain the correct canine companionship for both of us. Not to mention continuing to learn all there is to know (and more!) about the breed and dog psychology in general." - Christa Santomauro

"My New Year's resolution is to introduce my dog to the ponies, so he can run alongside while I ride. He will love the pace they set and the beautiful countryside. And I will be taking on another foster dog from our local shelter and giving it a forever home" - Ruth Nuttall

Stacie Tamaki's famous rescue dog Kitai. See him dressed as Cesar here.

"I'm resolving to create an ongoing revenue stream for my recently launched spay and neuter fund where I raise and then donate money to a new low-cost spay and neuter clinic in my city which only charges $30 per dog and $10 per cat! My long-term goal is to learn how to run the fund, then branch out to the cities with the highest kill rates, particularly those that still use gas chambers and heart sticks, and try to establish a voucher program there." - Stacie Tamaki"

"My resolution for my dog (a five-year-old border collie) is for him to give up his addiction to balls and sticks." - Nicola Morgan

My resolution is to help my dog Guinness make more dog friends. She became very aggressive with other dogs around the age of two and the problem got progressively worse as time went on. We went on for years just avoiding other dogs. Then I discovered Cesar and used his techniques to bring Guinness back to a calm-submissive state, and myself to a calm-assertive state. She can now walk by other dogs without acting up, even the hyper ones that bark and lunge." - Carolyn Bear Holmes

Tammy Hartwig's Service Dog Butch

"My New Year's resolution is to foster, save, rehabilitate, and find great "furever" homes for even more than the 30+ dogs I helped last year!" - Tammy Hartwig"

"My New Year's resolution for Lia and Ferris is to go on more walks. I had been depressed, and I had neglected to give them the walks they need and deserve. I've actually already started on the resolution, so I hope and will continue to keep this resolution!" - Ariana Castillo

My Resolution is to work on Alfie's recall. He is fine at home and in the garden, but is too easily distracted in the park and develops cloth ears!" - Muriel Anne Sowden

"A New Year's resolution for myself is to at least get a glimpse of Cesar and learn a heck of a lot more than I already know. I'm edging closer and closer to my dream of becoming the next Dog Whisperer (or at least one of the best behaviorists/rehabilitators in the world!) and I'm not giving up that dream for nothing. Stick to it Cesar, I know I will." - Sarah Trevino
