Dear Dr. Weaver,
Please address keeping dogs cool in summer. We live in Phoenix and see people leaving dogs in cars and dragging them out into 100 plus heat for hikes. Dogs literally drop dead. These are people who love their pets and just need education. Please help! Please offer advice … to teach people to take it easy on animals in the heat. This would be a huge service to dogs.
Thank you,
Ashley Sherinian
The summer is a great time to talk about overheating. All over the country and year-round, dogs are put in situations that are not safe...

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Dog Psychology Center.
Sometimes, the key to rehabilitation can be as simple as having an encouraging role model. At a youthfully exuberant 4 years old, Curly the mixed Greyhound Labrador gave Dog Psychology Center employees and volunteers a literal run for their money when he arrived at the end of December, 2006. These days he can be found putting himself to work as a deputy counselor and setting a positive…

The time has come for another Cesar Millan newsletter contest, and this month's questions come in the form of a Website scavenger hunt!
Clues for the location of each answer can be found in the questions, but the answers themselves will require a keen eye to find. Answers to all six questions should be sent in an email to contest@cesarmillaninc.com and must include your name, mailing address, and a phone number where we can reach you. The winner will be selected from these emails and announced in next month’s newsletter.

Thank you to those who spent Sunday with us. Both topics, Learning & Addressing Problem Behaviors and Your Energy Your Dog were received with excitement!
Cesar demonstrated with his own pack, invited the audience to share in his poll questions and, of course, discussed exercise, discipline, and affection.
Don't worry if you missed the live webinars, the on-demand versions are coming soon!
"Thanks for making the live webinar available... I would love to travel and see Cesar in person, but we know this is not always possible; this is definitely the next best thing... Thanks again!!"
"As always Cesar provides valuable information. My favorite part was Cesar's live demonstration of creating & controlling excitement with the dogs... THANKS!"
"You help dogs and at the same time people. Your webinar was the fastest 45 minutes of my life."

- Prepare. Don't make it a last minute "pack-and-let's-go." Your dog will sense your anxiety and tension. Be ready days in advance, so that your dog has a normal experience before he has to get in the car or on the plane.
- Don't feed your dog for at least 6 hours before plane travel. Some people recommend 8 or even a full 24 hours. However, make sure your dog has a normal experience before he has...

Join us next month for more on members of Cesar’s pack, important health hints from Dr. Sherry Weaver, and more news and helpful tips than you can shake a leash at! For now, here’s a success story from Yosef of Kansas City, MO.
Just a note of thank you. I am Yosef, a well-known scrimshaw artist (if I do say so myself!) I was informed last January that I would have to go in for open heart surgery. Of course, this is never good news.
I enjoy watching your shows. Being an artist myself, I see a lot of art in what you do. I decided to take your advice and be calm and...
